Llamedos Posted April 25 Report Posted April 25 We're hoping to take a look at Droitwich Marina next week with a view to possibly mooring there. The views of any current or past moorers therefore would be very welcome.  Thanks in anticipation. 🙂
Melita Posted April 25 Report Posted April 25 If you would like to check through lots of video's, Amy and Wes stayed there for about 4 months last winter   1
gatekrash Posted April 25 Report Posted April 25 I'm there (you'll see us moored right outside the office)  Staff are really friendly, decent facilities -shower block and lounge. Hardstanding for blacking.  Droitwich itself is a nice little town. Couple of decent pubs, Waitrose, Morrisons, Lidl and Aldi. Decent butcher, couple of fish and chip shops and takeaways.  Downsides - routes always involve the Severn (can be troublesome in winter) or tardebigge - doesn't bother us, we can get from the marina to the top of the flight in a day. Fuel is a bit pricey.  We've been here nearly 6 years and are quite happy here. 3

I'd echo this, we had a great stay when we were moored there last year... 1
frangar Posted April 26 Report Posted April 26 They were super helpful when we needed a temporary mooring when buying the canalside house….to the point that thanks to incompetent estate Agents and solicitors 2 weeks became 3 months!…and it wasn’t a problem even tho they were technically full. They also have a pretty useful chandlers with most of the day to day stuff you need. Slight downside is noise from the motorway if you stay on board but you soon get used to it. Plus you have a ringside seat for the excellent firework show at the rugby club in November. If I ever needed a marina mooring again they would be definitely in my top 5. 2
