I guess the reorganisation bit was inevitable but he's not the most scintillating communicator I have to say. 🥱💤

One observation. This was aimed at volunteers. I wonder if they have any plans to tell their paying customers about all of this, ie us lot.

I understand that Sharman's staff were aware of her departure and rumours started spreading to volunteers so something had to be said in a hurry.

No doubt a proper announcement will be made in due course, perhaps with the launch of a new ten year strategy.

I confess that I hadn't picked up that it was Julie Sharman that was leaving, must have been a combination of his Caledonian accent and my lack of attention.

That is really bad news for CRT and all of us too, she was the strongest member of the team by a long way. A good example being the way she quickly got a grip of the situation around the breach on the Llangollen.

Why has she chosen to go now I wonder? 🤔

I strongly suspect neither Sharman nor Heather Clarke chose to go.

I agree. For what it's worth, I believe that Richard Parry did not chose to go either.

I'm not getting positive vibes about any of this - it doesn't smell right.

It's hardly uncommon for a new CEO to make changes to his executive team and to reduce the number of chief officers/directors. They did have too many for a relatively small organisation.

Agree, but it's usually the lame ducks that go, not the ones that get things done. Unless of course the CEO feels threatened by them.

Richard Parry was CEO of the CRT for 12 years which is an extraordinary long tenue at this level within the the British Establishment. People like Parry typically have butterfly careers where they drift from executive post to post every 3 to 5 years.

when i see clarke with a title like "director of strategy and impact" i think thats code for "departure lounge" or "made up job for one of the boys"  looks like the new CEO thought the same...  don't know about Sharman inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt.

I expect there will be an influx of folks who have worked with campbell previously too, as thats how these things tend to work.

Here's the new structure

That seems a load of management for the number of staff that CRT have

How many staff does CRT have?

I don't know which is what I was alluding to as I thought most of the real work was done by contractors
