Got wood floors thro out the boat need a new easier method than washing it on me hands n knees ,too old lol, anyone recomend a powered washer/cleaner/polisher

I can definitely relate to that, my back isn't what it used to be either, and I try to avoid getting on my hands and knees whenever possible.

For wood floors on a boat, you might find something like the Bissell SpinWave helpful. It’s cordless, and the pads rotate to do the scrubbing for you, so you really just have to steer it around. If you want something simpler, those spray mops like the Bona ones are great because the cleaning fluid is in a bottle on the pole with a trigger. Hope that helps and saves you some of the aches!

Think it depends on the flooring, maybe a photo, is it engineered wooden planking, , click type, or scaffolding board, or oak,  parquet, or other.

I got a sort of spinner mopper to wash my floor, from Lidl, but i use an old wash up brush in corners, there are a lot of corners. Do the corners first them use the main mop. I dry with paper towels on my feet. :)

Sweep up daily with a sort of half length brush with dustpan on a long vertical handle., also lidl

We've got oak floors downstairs in our house. I don't like getting the wood too wet so tend to walk around with damp floor cloths on my feet when I feel they need more than just vacuuming. Makes it really easy to do a proper clean without too much bending and twisting. If yours is a real wood floor I can thoroughly recommend Osmo Wash and Care. Osmo also sell a mop, but I've never felt the need to get this.

On our Kardan "synthetic wood" effect flooring I give it a quick buzz over with Vax cordless vacuum cleaner (brush rotate on) to d the sweeping and then use an Ecloth pad on it's long handled "mount" wrung out frequently with Kardan/Amtico cleaner. Seems to do a good job and dries fairly quickly. I am always amazed at the amount of dirt that gets into the water, despite the pad never looking particularly dirty each time. I, too, do it in my socks rather than shoes.

My wife puts a white pad on it that is designed to be used as a brush, rather than vacuuming the floor first.

I don't see why it would not work just as well on smooth sealed wood. In fact, I then use an ordinary microfiber cloth with the same solution to clean the painted banisters, window ledges etc.

Or coming at this from a different angle: If you follow the custom in Scandinavia, Asia and other parts of the world and take your outdoor shoes off when you come indoors you'll find there's no floor scrubbing to do at all.

Try telling that to my dog! 😄

We've found the Flash Direct to Floor very effective used with a microfibre type mop. It only dampens the floor that dries very quickly.
