I pesume when still under the ownership of Dave and Gill Humphries.  I remember this pair from shortly after they acquired them.  Barnes was in immaculate condition whereas Badsey was in largely "ex Wendover Arm" condition, other than having had a useable engine fitted.

Pretty sure they had sold them by then. I'll check.

This is one of my potential color schemes for Theophilus.

When Roger Alsop borrowed Barnes to recreate a trip for his book Working Boats it was owned by a supermarket manager and moored on the Wey.

Jill or Gill?  You've got me thinking now.

Speedwheel will definitely know😃

Derek is correct. There's a clue on the cabin sides.

Baltic being converted in the foreground.

Anyone recognise the location? Aylesbury?

Interior of Barnes. I've still got that range - it came from Pat and Clive Stevens (sp?). It's fully enameled and the doors were chrome.

I found a few pictures of the Leeds and Liverpool trip the other day @Derek R.. I also found a picture of 10 year old me on the back of your motorbike in France - I have a vague memory that there was not enough space in the car due to the quantity of wine purchased from a vineyard (but that might well not have been the case).

Yes.  The old power station in the background is a giveaway.
