frangar Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 It looks like a burst water main is in danger of causing the main road bridge at Brewood over the Shroppie to possibly collapse. https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/notices/019acd8e-f680-7756-888f-46a2a982bada Judging from these posts on Facebook it’s not going to be a quick fix. Let’s just hope it’s down to Severn Trent to repair and not CRT because it doesn’t look like a cheap or quick repair. I think the shroppie might be closed for quite a while sadly….I really hope I’m wrong! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1G7ZiqQoDA/?mibextid=wwXIfr https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17iqqvGwSd/?mibextid=wwXIfr 1
matty40s Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 Someone needs to tell that thick Reform Councillor that the Water company CEO probably earns £1.5-2m plus shares and bonuses for dumping sewage in the rivers.

MrBean Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 The latest CRT update (10:02am) says it is "safe to reopen the canal". So presumably it is now open again... 3
