If the pumpout is broken there probably is a bit of a mess.

The CaRT downloadable boater's guide for the L&L, which comes straight off the same database as the stoppage notices has no mention of the Mess at the services there.

There's a proper "mess room" in the building that contains the elsan and the (now closed) shower and toilet.  Used by CRT staff and vollies as a canteen / break room / storage.
