Some advice please. While there have been some previous discussions on exhaust leaks, I had a few questions. The leak is from the flexible pipe although I can’t see a hole. If I approximate where this is can I apply a sealant? Which one?. Or, should I come to replace this flexible pipe, how do I remove it- there is a sealing at each end. And when I come to insert new one, what do I seal this with?

Buy a replacement.  The end of the pipe screws into the fittings, (the bit with the red ring of rtv sealant).   The other end is probably similar.  Some pics of the whole exhaust might be helpful.

Get em tight and use copper grease and the joints won't leak.

Midland swindlers sell the flexible pipe with BSP screwed end fittings. Check your size carefully

I had a leak on a 'flexible' exhaust that was a bellows pipe rather than the OP's braided hose. I effected a temporary repair using Gun Gum silencer paste, an opened up baked bean can and a couple of large jubilee clips. But it it was a bodged up short term repair (since replaced). The best thing for the OP to do is replace the whole hose, using a Midland Chandlers or similar new pipe as suggested above.

Thanks All for advice. I’ll replace. Could only send one photo as shown in Ist post. I can see here male end of hose disappears into elbow. Now include here the other end( where the leak is)- thread  appears part of elbow?? I’ll move nut around  when next on boat to see connection better.

Wot  x brummie said. You will need at least two pairs of biggish Stilsons (24 or 30 inch) to get the nut undone without the elbow moving.  A big blowlamp also helps.⁹

Probably similar at the other end.  Hold the elbow, turn the flexy pipe.
