Are there towpath moorings between the marina bridge and bridge 17, Google maps suggests there are? Anyone know if there are any further restrictions on these at Crick weekend, May 23rd to 26th? Cheers

As nobody has replied I'll try....... Crick is a nightmare in the general area when the show is on... if memory serves i think there are moorings but you may have to moor past the marina so be prepared to walk.....

I'm fairly local to that area, although not been up there this year.

The towpath from bridge 17 to 18, the marina bridge, is signed No Mooring. Marina entrance.  Beyond 18 mooring is free during show weekend.

Show mooring is usually from Crick tunnel to bridge 15, double moored.  15 to 17 the edge is in poor condition, the walk to the show is quicker from 17, directly to 13, then to the show bridge.

We'd been to Crick the last 3 years, might even be 4. Now we've actually got a boat we'd like to do it again, without the manic queues to see boats.

I know it's not the done thing on here 🙂.

Mooring at Crick is mental prices, I think you have to book for the full 4 days and varies from £250 just by the show bridge to £75 towards Yelvertoft where you need a gang plank to access the bank.

I figured if free mooring was possible around Yelvertoft somewhere we'd do that and walk through the fields to Crick, we only want one day there.

I guess there may be others with similar plans!

Get a spot above 18 early, as you are not the only one with that idea.

Quickest walk is not the tow path, but the footpath from 17, across the bottom of Crack hill to brige 13, then tow path to the show bridge.

Are these moorings 48hr, 7 day or unrestricted, do you know?
