If anybody needs a crew member I would be happy to help. I have been narrow boating for seven years. I have always hired a boat; I thought about buying one, but my wife suggested that hiring meant the boat would always be where I wanted it, also there would be no maintenance, mooring, or other costs.

Hi, I’m Andrew and have a 1/8th share in a 58ft narrowboat moored at Overwater Marina on the Shropshire Union canal.

 

I may have the opportunity to commit to a week possibly a fortnight commencing 13/7/25. Nothing is certain as the couple have just asked to swap their weeks for different times later this season.

Given it’s such short notice plus in the middle of the summer holidays I doubt if any of the 6 other co owners will swap. The next step is for the bookings secretary to offer the weeks “for free” as  13/7/25 approaches. 
 

i can no longer take the boat out solo following open heart surgery and so am looking to recruit a crew member to join me should there be the opportunity to take Soudley out without me committing to a swap of my booked and future committed  weeks. 
 

Soudley has bow thrusters, two pump out toilets and two independent berths.
