Just in case people have not yet tried the excellent delivery services from Ocado (M&S), Sainsbury, Tesco etc. Give it a try.

I just had a delivery from Sainsbury, which would have been £80 if I'd paid top wack, but I had a £5.00 customer service coupon from an issue with my previous delivery.  I spent an hour selecting well priced goods / discounted goods, so it came to £63 delivered.

Even the Apothic Red wine was on offer, I'm just about to have a tasting :)

Everything absolutely fresh.

PS Mackie's Ice cream is on offer this week :)

You do know that home deliveries have been around for quite a few years now?

They would not be able to find where I am moored.

When we moved onto our boat we had assumed it wouldn't be feasible as continuous cruisers, with the frequent location changes and no real address for us. It was a pleasant surprise to see how easy it is to get weekly deliveries - just picking a nearby address each time and adding delivery notes. It would be easy for others to assume the same and not think to try it.

Tesco drivers use what3words. They will find you if there is vehicle access.

Do they deliver to blatantly dodgy dead end roads in the middle of nowhere ?

I would have thought there might be a safety thing. Maybe not.

Yep, I have had them down dead ends on dirt tracks before. As they carry no money its not such a risk.

Met a guy last year who had walked 2 miles each way  to a co op store which unfortunately was closed.

He then went online once back on his boat  and a co-op delivery van dropped off his 2 cans of lager loaf of bread and coke within 2 hours.

Yes, some of them do 'Whoosh' delivery direct from the local stores, not the same range, but bread and beer are guaranteed!

My wife did Tesco internet shopping years ago when they sent out a CD!  picked what you wanted, got the old dial up AOL going and bingo!  only used to crash every 20 mins so you had to choose quickly!!!..... :)
