Bit strange this one, Factory locks closed since 21st Jan due to "police incident". On going.

No shortage of alternate routes though, although one boater trying to get to Caggy's appears to be "stranded".

Spending a couple of hours going via Brades would be better than sitting at the top lock waiting to sink.

I read the article.

 

By my reckoning it's about 2.5hrs round via Brades. He has probably been sat waiting for a day. I am not convinced that sitting waiting for the locks to open is quicker as the boater in question claims.

I don't think the chap is in the best place mentally at the moment and could probably do with a bit of help

sounds odd a stoppage for police enquiries yet the Cops have no record of it and CRT can’t help.
