Bosley locks closing again

Anyone actually close by there now? CRT notice says winter works till 6/2, additional works from 10/2. No details yet about times, or mention of the narrow time slot.

We’re planning on travelling up to move up through in that time slot. Does this look like a realistic plan? We are aware of other works further along, and are ok with that.

If you're not already on the Macc, it looks like Red Bull Aquaduct just after the junction is shut until 7th Feb too, so it's a bit of a scamper up to Bosley though perfectly possible in a day as there's only the stop lock in the way and a few moored boats. Stoppage times are shown as stoppages ending at 4pm and starting at 8am, so the only two days that the Macc is open from the junction to the top of Bosley are the 8th and 9th.

So it looks like Bosley SHOULD be open, but I'd check with CRT to see how they're getting on, to be sure. It's a very small window.

Thanks Arthur, we… ahem… wish to minimise our contact with crt but yes,, when it’s all imminent well we’ll try and get some firm details from them. Hopefully no problem as we can be a bit flexible

If you're going to get stuck I'd hang about round Congleton as that's the last chunk of convenient shops before Bosley, and it's only an hour or two's run to the locks. Sutton aquaduct is closing too, so it'll be a slow run up to Macclesfield.

Red bull is not an issue as we’re already past there. Congleton is our next move, unless we can get thru the locks next week🤞🤞
