Does anyone have any knowledge of the stoppage between bridges 2A and 2B on the Leigh branch of the Leeds Liverpool? It has been an ongoing closure since 12th December according to the CRT stoppages page yet I have been told that many boats have passed  there in this time.  It started as a restriction and was changed to closed on the 18th December, since then there have been 7 updates all just saying contractors have been instructed to attend on various dates but no mention of them ever attending. As fallen trees are a common problem you would not think they would have this much difficulty finding a contractor to attend.

The l update yesterday just said the same and another update next Wednesday.

Narrowboats have been passing for the last few weeks without any problems and I don't remember seeing anything that would stop a widebeam recently.

There may be a few more trees down after today though.
