Maudesmaster Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 I have a twin fuel/water separating filter unit The filters are S3209T that screw into the housing and metal base with drain plug screw into bottom of filter they are about 9-10” long I would like to change to filters about half the length Di any of you folk know of such an element steel bowls cost £90 each to replace for BSS
magnetman Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 Oh yes the BS plastic drain screw problem. Could you just get a standard cheap Fram or something for the BS inspection then put the real thing back on afterwards? Or just bypass it. Its just a tick box on a piece of paper.
jonesthenuke Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 That filter is massively oversized, why not fit something like this? https://www.midlandchandlers.co.uk/products/ag-cav-filter-metal-bowl-type-5836b710aq-ng-ea-124

BEngo Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 Have a look at the inline filters website. They have thread and size details on just about everything filterish so you should be able to find some smaller filters. Don't forget you need to match filtration size as well as the physical dimensions, thread etc. N
