Hi,

I am looking to replace the webasto oval controller with a Multicontroller so that I can program it to come on/off during the week.

Does anyone know if it is as simple as unplugging and replugging in (ie does it use the same connector) or is it more complicated than that?

Many thanks,

No, it's as simple as that if it's a Webasto controller.

If you replace it with a 12v Heatmiser, you need an adaptor harness, available from Evesham marina.

When my Webasto was installed the standard on/off button was replaced with a 12v Heatmiser controller and after lots of switching connections the installer eventually got it working without getting an adaptor harness.  He did spend a bit of time talking to the guy at Kings Lock discussing the wiring.  They also sell the harness.

I hate heatmisers, and the simple option is to have the harness. Not using it involves far more work(labour), and some extra wiring/connectors which mean the harness works out cheaper if you have it in advance.

Do you have his contact details. I'll see if he is still selling the harness.
