Featured Posts

Hi all

can anyone advise what cleaner can be added to a Webasto hot water system,

just changed the system fluid and noticed debris when draining so would like to run a cleaner through the system.

Cheers paul

I would have thought something for cleaning a domestic system, but follow the intuitions, and when run for long enough make sure you give the system another good flush, before adding the antifreeze MIXTURE.

To expand on my above post a bit ...

I drained my system and filled with tap water and ran the Webasto over a few days use. Drained and did exactly the same again. After the final drain I then filled with the relevant quantity of pre-diluted car engine IAT mono ethyene glycol 25 (coolant) / 75 (deionised water) and bleeding the radiators - the Webasto should auto bleed itself.

thank you both Tony and Joe I will be tackling this tomorrow have also been advised to use holts radiator flush for 30 mins then as Joe says flush the system with tap water before adding the coolant mixture, I will update results tomorrow.

Remember the tin is for the volume of a typical car radiator system, I think that I would look in Toolstation/Screwfix for stuff used in domestic systems.
