Victron Smartsolar vs Epever Tracer in low light

I recently replaced a 60A Epever Tracer 6415AN MPPT with a 60A Victron Smartsolar mainly because the price of Victrons was significantly reduced and I just fancied a better bit of kit. I sold the Epever for £120 quid and It was a straight swap, I just removed the Epever and installed the Victron.

It may be my imagination or perhaps I'm not comparing the two in the same light conditions, but I have a feeling I was getting better results in low light with the Epever. I'm a bit surprised as the Victron is meant to be the best and in every Youtube video I've seen comparing MPPTs I've seen the Victron comes out on top with better tracking than an equivalent Epever.

In both cases the amp readings I'm looking at came from the MPPT itself and I know that unless amps are measured across a shunt they're questionable, so I'm wondering whether perhaps the Epever was giving me inaccurately high amp readings and the Victron is being more "honest"? I also independently measure amps in/out on my battery monitor (as I don't have the Victron Smartshunt), so the amps shown on the battery monitor are amps in from the MPPT minus amps consumed and as such there are too many variables to use that. The biggest variable is of course the light hitting the panels and my feeling about getting better results from the Epever is totally subjective as I have no comparative figures like equivalent panel wattages. It just seems like it takes more light to switch on the Victron early in the mornings, and I'm getting less out of it on dull days like today.
