No but I've seen it done. They purr beautifully....

I looked at a big centre cockpit tug with one in it. 36 inch draught, 4 blade prop, diesel heating everywhere and hidden piping likewise. I walked away fast, but yes, a beautiful, huge engine .

We have a 45HP 3LW in our 57 foot boat. Plenty of power on rivers etc. The extra 100HP from a 6LX would seem wasted unless you like water skiing on the Severn or towing a fleet of buttys

I often muse about the possibility of taking three or four pistons out to make one into a poor man's 2LW or 3LW ... 😅
