James Owen Posted June 22 Report Posted June 22 Easenhall cutting closed again, a tree has come down blocking the channel. CRT are aware....
Graham and Jo Posted June 22 Report Posted June 22 Rats might not be going to Coventry after all. Probably have to turn at the entrance to Brinklow Marina as we are currently moored at Newbold. Cheers Graham
Rob-M Posted June 22 Report Posted June 22 Stoppage notice said contractors were going to be deployed as soon as possible, hopefully not a long stoppage as we were planning on heading back that way in a few days.
Rob-M Posted June 25 Report Posted June 25 Good news as having to divert via the GU back to Fazeley wasn't high on our to do list.
beerbeerbeerbeerbeer Posted June 25 Report Posted June 25 All good then 👍 I’ll be soon be heading for Cov Basin to face my fears.

It's definitely been waaaay better since Charlie visited, there's still a few bridges where we drifted through without power though, just in case
beerbeerbeerbeerbeer Posted June 25 Report Posted June 25 My fears of Cov are based on what Cov was like the best part of half a century ago. it’s well time I got over it 😃

The local Riley car club was having a rally. The moorings are safe and services clean and tidy. And the pubs are great 👍
beerbeerbeerbeerbeer Posted June 25 Report Posted June 25 Great stuff, more likely I’ll lower the tone then, Any recommendation on pubs?

beerbeerbeerbeerbeer Posted June 25 Report Posted June 25 Ace, I’ve another week in Paddington then I’ll make way. It’s great here for the 14 day moorings with no extra charge. (Lucky to get on one mind, but they do exist) I guess it’s an age thing, I simply remember the 70’s early 80’s with the crap grass, litter and violence, and that’s how I think of Cov. Which is now most likely very unfair.
