BRITISH WATERWAYS WEST MIDLANDS KEEPS FINGERS CROSSED FOR BIG LOTTERY FUND’S: THE PEOPLE’S £50 MILLION CONTEST BID FOR BLACK COUNTRY URBAN PARK

 

British Waterways West Midlands is proud to be part of the team bidding for Big Lottery Fund’s: The People’s £50 million contest to transform the Black Country’s historic and natural environment based around its unique canal network and is keeping its fingers crossed for a positive outcome of the public’s television vote in December.

 

 

Tony Harvey, General Manager for British Waterways West Midlands and Board Member of the Black Country Consortium bidding for the Big Lottery Fund’s: The People’s £50 million contest said:

 

‘We are extremely pleased to be part of the team bidding for funding for this landmark project. If successful, the Black Country canal network will truly undergo a renaissance for visitors and local people to enjoy, as well as creating economic opportunities and jobs for the area. Community involvement forms an integral element of the bid and we look forward to working together with our 1 million stakeholders to create a new piece of local history’.
