The skipper's approach when we were doing a boat move some yars ago was to shout back "I''m afraid this is good as it gets. If you don't like it buy a caravan and it won't happen"

Quite a good line.

My usual reply in the morning is

Its half past ten

In the afternoon it is

Its half past three.

One of the joys of wearing hearing aids is I can turn them off so I don't hear much at all ;)

Thanks guy for you all thoughts.

So apart from the obvious like a Vetus control panel.

Are the makes of gauges that you swear by and thought that shouldn't be touched even with a pointy stick?

Durite for electrical gauges, which in my view are simply not accurate enough, but fine for oil, temp, water etc.

Otherwise, anything sold that is made in the far east apart from where well known UK companies are marketing them and provide technical and warrantee backup. Especially stuff from Ebay, Amazon etc. That often has insufficient details at the point of sale and exactly who is selling and from where is often not very clear.
