One had Elsan loos and came with a spade (which we did have to use mid-week) , the other had sea-type loos that discharged into the cut from the bottom of the boat. In 2020 I posted some photos of our  subsequent 1977 trip to Leicester here on the "Black Prince Owners' Club" section: (page 6, July 2020).   .

 

Right from the start, BP provided each hirer with a commemorative plaque. The ones we had in 1976 and 1977 were of painted wood in the form of a shield. The practice has continued, but the ones we have had recently have been in the form of slate discs.
