It was going so well. Moved from the summit pound of the Leicester line towards the NW.

VIA Braunston,  Fradley and Great Haywood, we made good progress. Our intention was to travel north on the T&M, even booking Harecastle. But we were thwarted at Stone due to the closure at Star lock. Funnily enough, neither Ali or me received any closure notifications but hey ho. Shopped at M&S, winded and returned to Haywood, then down the Staffs to Autherley and up the Shroppy.

Cold but largely dry. Very quiet.

The Star lock notification came out just before Easter.

Does anyone know is the lock open again now? I got the stoppage notice but can't find it now or see it on CRTs site

The email says the lock would be closed 18-20 April 2023.

Thanks, that will be why I didn't keep a note. Assuming it was done on time if course.
