Oil dipstick level / engine manual

Hi could anyone point me in the right direction please on this dipstick where should the oil level be up to please ? - see photo  - looks like I’ve overfilled it a little 

 

Engine is on our narrowboat, make is Nanni 4 110KC -  it been able to find a manual for this anywhere, would anyone have one by any chance please

Top Horizontal line (above the "1")  is the "Full" line.

I would have guessed the same (but it is only a guess). It's bl**dy confusing. Much better to put the part number towards the top, well away from the oil level and leave two unambiguous lines across the business end.

Thats a very old engine, possibly a Kubota V12** (V = 4 cylinder, 12 = appox 1200 cc, **= engine series). I think the engine might be a V1202, long since replaced by the  current 05 series engine. You'll find it stamped into the engine casting.

HE = Heat exchanger.

KC = Keel cooler.

Just a different exhaust manifold an extra pump and a bit of plumbing.

The main issue regarding servicing is the oil filter, with the 02 series engine using a 3/4" UN thread and the 05 series engine using a M20 thread.
