sparrowcycles
Hi folks. Im on the look out for replacement gear sets for my Blackstone 3G gearbox and 2:1 reduction box. If anyone has any in good condition I'd be interested to hear from you. One thing I found interesting when looking at the parts list was that the JP2 and 3 seem to have different output gear part numbers, does anyone know why this might be? I presume they have the same number of teeth! The crankshaft spur gear (as its called) part number for the 2 pot is X87/11741 And for the 3 is X87/16740 Best regards. Steve56
I would think its more to do with the fitment to the crank, rather than the number of teeth. But if Lister have given different numbers then there will definitely be a difference somewhere.
sparrowcycles
Thats an interesting idea, I'll look into it. I've found a large reduction box gear in good condition and now only need the 20t pinion gear, does anyone on here have one for sale perhaps? David Mack
I seem to recall that @steamraiser2 said once that many of his customers having JPs refurbed change the Blackstone box for a PRM. So he may have a pile of redundant boxes at the back of the workshop.
