Some of the briquette products are formed at high temperature which one might assume would drive off moisture. 

It would be reasonably interesting to know how much external energy goes into production of 'ready to burn' products. It might be a bit naughty and unsustainable. 

 

I do find this "Ready to burn" codswallop amusing. The raw material used to make the 'briquettes' was already 'Ready to burn'.

 

It reminds me of my arty ex who used to make her own hand-made paper. She would start off by getting some paper, and ripping it up and mixing it with water into a slurry...
