Looking for a wood burning eco designed stove second hand

Hi all, I just bought a narrow boat without a stove for heating and my Husband is searching for 2nd hand not sure that is good?

In any case, does anyone have one for sale for a 52ft semi trad cruiser? or advise.  Thank you my frst post! Debx

If your budget will run to it, get a Jøtul, ideally with a back boiler to do the central heating.

Does your boat have a hearth and flue collar in the roof from a previous stove installation, or will this be the first time a stove is installed? There are important safety things you need to be aware of either way. Hearth materials, insulation, air gaps, distances to combustable materials etc. A good summary of best practice is here. The only bit I and some others find contentious is the use of double skinned flue pipes. Single skin is fine. Other than that, follow that guide.

Read the guide.  Do lots of research until you have sufficient knowledge to ignore the guide. Then do a safe and sensible install.  If you follow the guide then always wear full fireman's gear and have a fire engine standing by when using the stove, for full safety.
