There's only one residential mooring out of 11 available north of Luton, in Sheffield. It's also twice as expensive as a leisure mooring over in Cheshire. In comparison there are over 130 leisure moorings available. Take advantage of family address and save a lot of pounds?

Agreed.  But my original response was to those claiming that resi moorings were virtually a myth and it wasn't even worth trying to find one.

Hello Tony I’m assuming you mean me (we met in Chester in September)?

I fear you are mistaken sir.

The man I met in Chester was a disgraceful specimen- a long-haired and unkempt troglodyte, barely able to write his own name, or form a coherent sentence.

Even worse, he came from Warrington  😂

It's not a pipedream ( that would be a villa in Italy!! ) but its an 'idea' which i can afford ...

How about selling the boat and buying an Italian villa for 20,000 Euros: https://www.kyero.com/en/property/11157284-villa-for-sale-pallare

That would certainly be mid-lifey ...

But think of the maintenance.

I bet boatyards here in the Uk have nothing on Italian tradesmen fixing stuff for ze absentee English!!

Oops, lapsed into French there.

Funny I have just been looking on Apollo Duck and there are about 5 boats for sale with residential moorings in London, and the boats aren't silly prices. There are also some in other places, one for £40 a week
