The annual closure for maintenance is also scheduled for the same dates  between Monday 6th March and Monday 20th March 2023.

Just looking at Cheshire cats link which seems to show a new cycle path which will go over the heads of boaters using the aqueduct.

 

Does anyone have an update as to whether planning permission was granted for this scheme.

 

 Don't forget that he aqueduct is closed for 2 weeks annual maintenance from tomorrow.

I went to have a look at Barton Aqueduct this morning. 

 

Imagine my suprise. It is no different to my last visit which must have been October time.

They work on Peel time, have another look in 5 years.
