I’m gonna rule the BCN out on this one 😃

I was gonna say the lock up from the bottom of the Aston flight.
Where there’s now a road bridge going over the bottom gate. The one with the crooked beams.
(but thought better if it)

Looks a bit like the top of Foxton, but I'm Shure it isn't.

Not a bad guess, as there are not many narrow locks on the Grand Union, but definitely Northampton Arm I believe.

Another image for identification at a lock with a lock house of the Telford style.

Undoubtedly Northampton flight top lock, it's hardly  changed except for the vegetation.

It’s as undoubtedly Rothersthorpe top as the first image is Audlem bottom.

We can still have a day’s worth of debate about it though.

It would probably have been a lot better if the thread only had two or three posts on it.

The load - Barrels of oil for Duckhams?

That barn like house in the winding hole, wasn't that where DayStar theatre Co. were based for a time?

Too early for Duckhams which was a BMCC contract  and going the wrong way loaded at Ellesmere Port going up Audlem . The cargo appears to be in barrels so could be Tank House Sludge going to Manchester for refining of the metal content
