I can pretty rapidly get to 44 GU narrow locks, existing today.  If you count the remains of the Warwick And Napton and the Warwick and Birmingham canal narrow locks there are nearly 100. If you add in the ex GJC  narrow duplicates it is over 100.

And thanks also to those that correctly identified the second as Northampton Top lock - an image taken in 1964 by Edwin Shearing and below is his colour version which I have located now.

 

 

 

The Northampton Arm replaced a tramway which followed a different alignment. Benjamin Bevan was associated with work of making the canal which was completed to Northampton in 1815
