Lord Belvoir
I've replaced the gaskets on the lift pump....the new gaskets are considerably thicker then the paper ones I took off....what's the rule of thumb regarding the push rod adjustment? roland elsdon
Tappet should be 0.46-0.50 mm below the level of the face of the crank case door. if in doubt eer on the under rather than over. Fuel starvation is better than forcing the cam against the tappet. Took me three goes and I was only lengthening tappet half a turn at a time.
