Tinsley Locks

Hi everyone, 

does anyone know if Tinsley Locks on the Sheffield/Tinsley canal have been repaired yet? They were supposed to finish on the 4th, then the 5th, but I haven’t seen an update saying the locks are ok now. I need to be at Thorne by Monday, so looking dodgey

All open, came up them today. Have you booked passage down? Obviously you’ll have to do it first thing in the morning to go down Saturday.

I tried phoning the lock keeper today but the number I have didn’t ring out. I tried several times and checked the number on line.

do you ring 07710 175488 to book?

No. That’s the old number. Now you have to go through Leeds tel number 0303 040 4040 Then the lock keeper should ring you back same day to confirm time to meet you at the top lock on the day your going down.
