Mastervolt inverter doesn't turn on after a factory reset

Hi. My boat's Mastervolt Mass Combi 12/2500-100 doesn't start after a factory reset.

Attached photos of the dashboard, and the box with switch on positions "Ch" (alive) and "On" (dead).

It is connected to shore's AC.

Batteries have at least 2 years, but the inverter was working before the factory reset.

Any advice on what to do?

I’d try disconnecting the remote control panel, see if that helps

 

Also and separately you might want to change the setting of DIP switch B 7 which controls the interactions between the Combi and the remote.

 

Also of course check that there is 12v or so at the Combi main terminals.

 

How did you do the “factory reset”, and why?

During sail yesterday, inverter was turning off after a few minutes.

That's why I tried to reset the machine using the external dashboard (I think that's what you call remote control) as explained in the manual here https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1361486/Mastervolt-Masterlink-Micc.html?page=27

A friend had one that went faulty a year or so ago, after some investigation we found a dry joint on one of the power rails internally on a PCB...

I've had similar problems which turned out to be the switch on my Masscombi, although in my case it was in the charge position. Try rocking the switch very slightly. I found contact cleaner helpful too.

Ok, I think that just factory-resets the remote control panel, I don’t think it affects the actual Combi.

 

On page 13 of the MICC manual you linked to, para 4.4 talks about the Mass Combi setting which defaults to Off (after a factory reset). I would follow those instructions to turn on Mass Combi mode.
