Hi does anyone have any recommendations on where to get new canal boat Curtains form please? Or even someone I can ask to make them from the fabric I source.

I can recommend the couple who did my upholstery, they are up North, but reliable.

I would have thought loads of folks can do it, very easy job.

PS I'd recommend insulating liner as it makes a big difference summer and winter.

Plenty of remnant type fabric places online, just make sure no big pattern repeat as you have lots of short windows.

no fancy high street overheads, they do Pennine Cruiser upholstery, it's reasonable prices, I would say.

I think they are Polish, so best to speak a bit slowly.

I don't know where you live but any sewist will be able to make some for you - they are no different to house curtains. If anything they are easier because there is so much less fabric to wrangle.

I prefer spring-loaded blinds, secure the cord at the bottom with a small cleat and they're much tidier in a small space.
