Both Islip and Whiston Locks on the Nene are closed at the moment. Islip is due to a gearbox failure on the guillotine gate. Whiston is due to a "mechanical failure". The EA cannot provide a timescale for fixing either lock.

That would make four locks on the trot that are hand wound  or 5 out of 6 if you include Ringstead two
