Entry is £10 a go. Max tickets sold 7000. Goodness knows what the boat is actually worth but it's quite a fun idea and apparently common in other countries.

I'm sure it is worth more than £10 but possibly not £70000.  And if they don't sell the 7000 tickets they keep the boat and 25% of the ticket sales and give you £7.50 back.  So could be a nice little earner.

Eh??? So they can declare they only sold 6000 tickets, and just pocket £15,000. Is that legal?

 

(Can't see the Facebook content so taking the quote as it stands. Guess it might cost them something to process the refunds)

I think it's the raffle site that keeps the percentage, not the rafflers. Personally, wouldn't trust it or touch it with the bargepole...
