Supermarkets on GU south of Braunston

Hoping to head south from Braunston next week, perhaps as far as Berkhamstead.

 

Suggestions of supermarkets close to the canal would be much appreciated.

In addition to other suggestions:

Asda in New Bradwell

Tesco Local at the A5 crossroads in Weedon

Local supermarket at Giffard Park  MK

Shop in the caravan park at Cosgrove

Local supermarket down the steps on the offside at Weedon

Local supermarket and ace butcher in Nether Heyford.

There was a bakery in Bugbrooke, but have not checked it out recently.

Tesco in Fenny Stratford. Go to it via the station platform as the shortest route from the lock.

 

Tesco at Tring. A couple of stops on  Number 500 bus from Cowroast.

 

Also Lidl, Tesco and Waitrose canal side in Aylesbury if you go down the arm.

Also the Nisa (or why) at Blisworth stocks quite alot for a small shop.

 

The Boat at Stoke B has the essentials.

There's a small supermarket in Braunston village, and a decent butcher.

Dont forget Braunston locks are only open 8-5 with last entry at 4PM  as from 30th August

I'm too bloody lazy to walk more than 100metres from the canal to get shopping hence my short but concise list.

Sorry mate, I just measured it on Google Earth and its 208 meters, but the good news is its only uphill one way.

I'm not convinced that your Wolverton Tesco suggestion isn't more than 100m.  Or perhaps it just seems a long way because it involves going up and down both more steps and more inclines than the others suggested - those involving level access direct from the towpath

Yes it probably is over 100metres I possibly should have just said Asda at Wolverton.

I still don't like walking 🥱
