What happened in Banbury this morning?

Does anybody know what happened in Banbury early this morning?

Apparently there were several police officers and firemen there, and some of the area of the canal by Spiceball Park has been cordoned off / closed. Police were escorting people off their boats into the park. I've heard there's a search of the park underway too.

I saw a stoppage notice for the area but it just stated due to police incident.

I think I'd run from the police if they had a machette !

A thief has stolen all the toilet seats in the police station. A police spokesman said they have nothing to go on.

Apparently a dead body has been found

We were held up by it.  It was a body in the canal just to the north of Banbury, where the long term moorings start.  A boater we spoke to at the lock below Cropredy saw the body floating in the canal an another boater called it in.  There were some police still there when we came past and a short section of towpath is still taped off.
