I have a stoves newhome 500 dti 

model number 050517101

serial number 90716492

I am looking for an oven thermostat to fit this model as been advised that model is discontinued

or i will need a new cooker

anyone know where i can get this part

Its probably a generic thermostat. Plenty of online spare parts suppliers to try.

I very much doubt that. There are hundreds if not thousands of unique thermostats for cookers.

 

Even if it is generic, trying to identify which generic one it is will be a fool's errand.

I'll bow to your greater knowledge, but the essential point is that there are spare parts companies out there that can provide pattern parts for appliances where the original manufacturer is no longer selling spares.

Not my experience with cookers at all. Certainly loads of third party manus with boilers, but with cookers (and gas fires), near impossible to identify parts if the manu's computer says no.
