Popular Post MrsM
In a world of so much negativity I just wanted to share a lovely encounter I had yesterday. I was admiring a beautiful garden near Kinver and a charming elderly gentleman offered to show me around. We chatted for a while and he then kindly gifted me this beautiful vase from his wife's pottery shed. She is an no longer with him and he doesn't want to empty out her stuff, but is happy to gift it. Meeting him really made my day and I will always treasure this little act of kindness. People really can be wonderful and it's a joy meeting them when out and about on the waterways. That's just lovely, I guess you helped him a bit by allowing him to talk about his wife and allowing some of her possessions to be loved by someone else. On a similar theme of nice people on my last mooring I had a bit of chest infection and was laid low for a while and the neighbours made sure I had water, food and one morning I heard a some log splitting followed by the being stacked on my roof, all without asking. People can be lovely
