Very true, Cahors is pretty but St. Cirqu Lapopie further east is much more stunning. 

 

This was 2013 and the river levels were very low.

Yes, that is odd. The blurb on the web site talks about their modern hire fleet of steel boats, but contains ni information about them.

Thats an interesting question but I suspect hire boaters do not. They have always hired to non EU nationals and AFAIK they have not been subject to additional stipulations.

 

Owners how ever may be a whole different ball game though.
