Steve Buxton
I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of a supplier for this type of window catch please? I know it is a long shot as they were probably made about 30 years ago, but I was hoping that they were popular enough for someone still to be supplying them. Thanks. Tracy D'arth
That should be simple for a handy metal worker to make for you. A school or college craft centre may be interested as a teaching project.
Ray T
Would this type mounted upside down be too short?
philjw
Those catches are the same as I had on a previous boat. The windows were from Channelglaze. Give them a try: http://www.channelglaze.com/accessories/fixtures-fittings/ I seem to remember that the channelglaze logo was on the windows. Our channelglaze windows have them - they do tend to seize up. Lucky you can remove the scews and soak them in oil before attacking them with a couple of pairs of pliers. Jak
These are exactly the same as my early 80s windows. Never noticed any markings indicating a manufacturer, but I will check.
Steve Buxton
Thank you for all the comments. I will try and get the originals off and soak them in oil, if not I will try Channleglaze.
