Closed. Problem with one of the top paddles not shutting - CRT are draining the pound above and hopefully will be fixed in the morning

CRT did put out a notice last night and looks like stop planks are going in. Pound above 8 still has (some) water in it which Im sure the moored boats in there are grateful for 😀

The stoppage notice says stop planks. There are photos on this blog FreeSpirit : Just letting a paddle drop can cause damage! (nbfreespirit.blogspot.com)

It did.

However the man who actually fixed it expected the pound to drain overnight and be able to jump in and sort it with a pair of waders. He was fairly suprised to see the level had actually gone up overnight at 7.30 this morning- I thought that a pretty fair assumption myself given the savage leak on the bottom gates and the top paddle left open 😀
