Kevin Whittle RIP

I’ve just had an email from a fellow boater, telling me of the death of Kevin. He was a lover and enthusiastic rebuilder of these engines, he ran a newsletter for the Kelvin register in the 80s/90s and beyond, for owners of these lovely motors. Others here will have memories and reminiscences they’d like to share, I’ll leave this here....

The only engine I ever wanted other than a Gardner was a Kelvin, magnificent engineering and you could see bits moving. I briefly met Kevin about 12 years ago whilst talking to the then owner of RWDavies Enid, lovely chap, complemented me on my nicely turned out metronome. I only found out who he was afterwards.

A man who will be remembered well long after he has gone.
