PaulJ
If you walk towards Brum centre to the next footbridge there is a place in the Industrial estate that sell the best hamburger and chips (via Just Eat) that Ive ever had.. Great place to overnight.
doratheexplorer
A handy overnight spot and much preferred to Cuckoo Wharf (aka. The Land Of The Incomprehensible Sign). If you're looking to break up the journey from the city centre to Minworth, it's probably the best choice.
beerbeerbeerbeerbeer
Never considered that spot before. I’ll take note and use it in future. Cheers 👍
Martin Nicholas
That's the Hospital Pound is it not? Cuckoo Wharf is fine too. Tie up where you like. The places IIRC, run from north to south: 1 x long term, water point, 2 x long term, visitors/BW mooring. As long as you don't leave the boat unattended and are prepared to move if asked, it's all good.

Or should you untie them so you can get in to the bank?
Popular Post cuthound
Last year I came across a boat moored overnight on the only working Great Hayward water point at 7:00am, after I had specifically got up early to get water. They weren't impressed when I woke them up by breasting up and running my hose over their boat. I merely pointed out that if you don't want to.be woken early, then you shouldn't moor on a service point and carried on filling my tank. 7

There used to be a mud hopper or two further up which were good to moor against.

zimzim
No signed visitor mooring any longer at cuckoo wharf (we just used it regardless). The mooring at Aston Lock looks fine (rings and bins) but I couldn't see any signage at all there.
