Vetus m3.10 faulty wiring loom

Featured Posts

Hi

just an enquiry as to whether anyone has had issues with the vetus m3.10 wiring loom plug at the engine.

my engine seems to want to start when it feels like it and after changing the starter solenoid and the relay Which we’re both in bad shape I’ve now discovered that the fault lies with the 12pin  plug on the engine .

is this a common fault??

has anyone bypassed this plug ?? Or is there a better alternative as in an upgraded one.

thanks in advance

Not Vetus specific but multi-plugs and sockets seem to be an endless cause of problems so  would have no compunction about bypassing the faulty pins. A one time boat builders/engine fitters had enough electrical ability to hard wire but it seem the engne miniseries think differently, hence the multi-plugs.
