Porthole glass

I need a replacement 12" diameter porthole glass but none of the usual chandlers etc seem to stock them. Any ideas or will I have to have one specially made,?

If you don't mind ordinary glass any glazing place can cut a circle. Get the same thickness as the original or the seals won't work.

I’ve had star cut porthole glass cut at the Ruskin Centre in Stourbridge in the West Midlands. I’m away at the moment, but I could pop in later this week and get details of the company for you.

I had a circular glass replacement cut at Amersham glass in Chesham - they have now re-located to Amersham, I had the edges ground as well.

And most locl glass merchants can also get it toughened for you, which is probably advisable on a glass that size.

Our portholes were originally supplied by Cauldwells. when I dropped an opening half glass in the cut, they were very helpful. Here is a link https://caldwellswindows.co.uk/
