mastervolt 12/80 battery charger problem

My Trojans are on their last legs. I've ordered some more.

Meanwhile my battery charger won't start to charge unless I put the kettle on! Anyone know why?

Check what the input AC voltage is? If you are happy to do so, if not get someone who can.

By switching on the kettle you will reduce the AC voltage. so that the battery charger see the correct input voltage.

Perhaps it thinks it's a plumber - they won't work til they've had a cup of tea...
