G.K Harris and Son

It's an interesting vessel, but I fancy not one that would have been built the the Harris Brothers known to many inland waterways users.

Harris Brothers of Bumble Hole on the Midland canals, specialised in building working narrow boats. There might have been another set of brothers by the name of Harris of course.

Good luck with your search though, any avenue is worth investigating amongst boat builders.

Has she been a registered ship at any time? If so there would be registry numbers carved in somewhere which should give pointers to the full details. Also the name would be unique  - I'd probably start at https://www.ukshipregister.co.uk/registration/service-request/check-a-ship-name/ but a quick internet search shows several other possibilities.

I came across this https://www.islandcruisingclub.com/our-island-story

It mentions Darlie under the heading "Consolidation" as one the ships owned by a member. It does not give builder details, but you could obviously contact someone there for further infrmation.

Hi Tam , i also found her in the Island Story and contacted them but they did not have any details on her.
